FIBERGLASS During the eighties Lomac Nautica was the first maker of inflatable boats to introduce the fibreglass bottom into Europe to replace simple planked fabric. The first models shown in Italy were the Lomac 2000, 2001 and 2002 at the Genoa Nautical Fair in 1981 and they’re still the turning point of production in the sector of small models.
The intuition was to combine the merits of fibreglass with those of the inflatable boat in order to obtain crafts that gave an excellent performance and were easy to use even though small in size.

The advantages of fibreglass are many and, as far as bottoms are concerned, they can be seen in the excellent navigation characteristics under any sea conditions
ADVANTAGES Compared to the traditional bottoms (made of bottom fabric), the fibreglass made it possible to optimise consumption and achieve a fuel saving of 30% at the same speed, as well as an increase in speed of about 30% under the same conditions.

Therefore, in addition to more gentle and stable navigation (quite different to the classic "bounce" of inflatable boats with a planked bottom), inflatable boats with a fibreglass bottom are easy to manage under any kind of sea conditions, even by inexperienced boaters.
As well as in the bottoms, Lomac Nautica also uses fibreglass for the planning and design of modular accessories, such as consoles, sundecks and lockers. These are accessories that it make it possible to produce a wide range of easy to maintain models, ideal for any pleasure and occupational requirements.
